There’s A Good Reason To Eat Cherries In Season!
There are several good reasons actually. Here are my ideas about the nutritional value of cherries.
Cherries are one of the worlds oldest fruits, dating back to around 300 BC. The word cherry means for the birds. It was most likely named this because the birds love it. It was the French that brought the pits from Normandy in the 1600’s, to the United States.
The cherry blossoms on the trees before they turn into cherries produce a wonderful scent and is great for aroma therapy. The darker the cherry the higher the antioxidant and vitamin levels.
Cherries are great for those watching their weight. There is less than 100 calories and 1/2 a gram of fat per serving.
The health benefits of cherries are enormous!
They are said to have the following benefits to your health:
- Very Powerful Antioxidants
- Contain Cancer Prevention Sources
- Reduces Inflammation
- Helps Reduce The Risk Of Gout
- Supports Sleep (It Contains Melatonin)
- Helps Relieve The Pain Of Osteoarthritis
- Helps To Reduce Belly Fat
- Protects Against Diabetes
- Helps In reducing Post Exercise Muscle Pain
- Lowers Your Risks Of Having A Stroke
- Helps Against Contracting Alzheimer’s
- Slows Down The Skin Aging Process
- Great For Your Heart (High Potassium)
- Helps In Preventing Colon Cancer
- Helps With Eye Care
- Improves Digestion
- Gives You A Stronger Immune System
- Helps Relieve Infections
- Relieves Constipation (Contains Fiber)
- Aids The Digestions (Contains Acid)
- Provides Added Energy (Healthy Fructose)
- Helps With Bad Breath
- Aids With depression
Needless to say it is a great idea to eat cherries while they are in season, which is right now! If they are out of season you can purchase cherry juice, cherry extract, and canned cherries at the grocery store. You may also want to look into getting them in concentrated tablets or tincture form, which can be found in most health food stores.

I would like to end my article on cherries by giving you a little correction to what we learned in school. George Washington was supposed to be famous for cutting down a cherry tree. George Washington did not cut down a cherry tree when he was a boy. The story actually is that six-year-old, George took his axe and chops at the bark of a cherry tree (not chopping it down). This is from the book Life and Memorable Actions of George Washington.

I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting
my own blog and was wondering what all is needed to get set up?
I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
I’m not very internet savvy so I’m not 100% positive. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

First of all I want to say excellent blog! I had a
quick question in which I’d like to ask if you do not mind.
I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your head prior to writing.
I have had trouble clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there.
I truly do take pleasure in writing however it just seems
like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be
lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any
recommendations or hints? Thanks!
